
Knights Make Donation To Special Olympics

LONDON, ONTARIO: The London Knights Hockey Club are pleased to announce a donation of $ 100,000 was made to the 2010 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games Host Committee on Friday, January 22, 2010. The cheque presentation was made by Knights Governor Trevor Whiffen on ice prior to the Knights game vs. Erie Otters.
This donation of $ 100,000 from the London Knights Hockey Club will help fund the 2010 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games which will be held in London from July 11 to 17, 2010. With this contribution the London Knights Hockey Club will be a Platinum Sponsor for the upcoming games.
In making the announcement Knights Owner Mark Hunter said " We are very pleased to donate $ 100,000 dollars to this outstanding event. We are very proud to be a part of this event and feel it's a great chance for our hockey club to support such a great group of Canadian athletes. We take great pride in being a part of the community and this was another chance to do so. We wish the host committee tremendous success with the event "
