MACON, Ga. – The Macon Knights added four veterans to the lineup highlighted by the assignment of Cory Smith. Smith will return to the Knights for his fourth season and his sixth season in arenafootball2. Along with Smith, the Knights picked up Kentrell Blatcher, Manwell Talbert and Stevland Sills.

Cory Smith (6-5, 300, Clark-Atlanta) has been a mainstay in Macon for the past three seasons appearing in 54 straight games with the Knights (includes playoff games). In his five seasons in af2, Smith has recorded 76 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, 14 sacks, two blocked kicks, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

Kentrell Blatcher (6-2, 310, Southern) enters his third year in af2 and his first with the Knights. In 2002, Blatcher, a lineman, appeared in nine games with the Mobile Wizards recording 15 tackles, three tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. In 2003, he appeared in four games with the Charleston Swamp Foxes recording one tackle.

Manwell Talbert (6-2, 215, New Mexico State) enters his second season in af2 and his first with the Knights. Last season he appeared in 16 games last season with the Rio Grande Valley Dorados. Talbert, a wide receiver/linebacker, caught 70 passes for 843 yards and 20 touchdowns while carrying the ball twice for 12 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, he recorded 22 tackles, one tackle for a loss, one sack one pass breakup and one forced fumble.

Stevland Sills (6-1, 185, Tennessee Tech) enters his second season of af2 and his first with the Knights. Last season he appeared in six games with the Birmingham Steeldogs. Sills, a wide receiver/defensive back, caught five passes for 77 yards, recorded 12 tackles and one tackle for a loss.
