Rochester Knighthawks News Release

(Rochester, February 3)... Rochester Knighthawks players Sid Smith and Cody Jamieson are giving back to the Rochester community with the launching of Sid's Soldiers and Cody's Kids.

Starting this Saturday, Smith will donate tickets in the 100-premium seating section to members of the military - past or present - and their families. The first recipients of the tickets are the RIT Army ROTC program. The Army ROTC is a proud partner of the Knighthawks this season and sponsors the Knighthawks' Player of the Game.

As part of the Knighthawks' commitment to the military, the National Lacrosse League team will offer a $5.00 discount off the day of game pricing in all sections. The tickets can be purchased at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office with the presentation of a Military ID, VA Card or an American Legion or VFW membership card. For more details call the office at (585) 454-4295.

Meanwhile, Jamieson will honor youth lacrosse players during home games for the remainder of the season. Each game, one lucky kid or kids will receive a 90-minute pregame VIP experience with Jamieson, which includes a behind-the-scenes locker room tour and joining "Jammer" on the turf before the game for warmups.

"It is something growing up as a kid I wanted to do. I always wanted to see what it was like to be out there," said the second-year pro out of Syracuse University. "This is a way of giving back and showing kids that dreams do come true."

On Saturday, February 4th, the Knighthawks will host the Minnesota Swarm at 7:30 p.m. The first 3,000 fans will take home a Chris Schiller bobblehead. The Urology Associates of Rochester will hold their annual Men's Health Night. Fans can bid on special game-worn jerseys on www.gobuyrochester.com. The game will be broadcast live on Sportsradio 950 ESPN and www.sportsradio950espn.com.
