
Knighthawks Sign Brett Coons to Two-Year Deal

(Rochester, NY) - Rochester Knighthawks General Manager and Vice President of Lacrosse Operations Dan Carey announced today that the team has signed defenseman Brett Coons to a two-year contract. The transaction is pending league approval.
Coons recently completed his third season with Peterborough Lakers of Major Series Lacrosse, claiming Mann Cup championships in 2017 and 2019. In addition to three seasons with the Lakers, Coons also played three years with the Peterborough Timbermen of the Arena Lacrosse League from 2017-2019. In 39 career games with the Timbermen, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound defenseman registered two goals, 13 assists and 15 points.
Coons, a Peterborough, Ontario native, played in 16 contests with the Ennismore James Gang of the Ontario Senior B Lacrosse League, collecting 12 points on a pair of goals and 10 assists.
