(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Knighthawks defenseman Pat Cougevan will participate in "Stuffed with Hugs" events at the Eastview Mall Build-A-Bear Workshop® on Saturday, May 17th at 10:00 a.m.

Cougevan will be one of first 150 guests that day to stuff a White Fluffy Puppy. The puppies will be donated to one of three charities: Children's Health and Wellness - "Sunshine Kids and Super Sibs!", Pet Adoption/Humane Education, and Literacy: First Book.

Cougevan completed his 12th season with the Knighthawks in 2008 and was named the team's Community Service Award winner. He was also the Knighthawks' nominee for the National Lacrosse League honor. This season, he took part in numerous events to benefit CURE Childhood Cancer Association, which raised awareness for kids with cancer and collected over $4,400 for treatments and supplies.

The Knighthawks and Build-A-Bear Workshop® are partnered together the last two years to raise money for CURE Childhood Cancer Association. In 2008, the team's Second Annual Teddy Bear Auction raised $2,614.51. The Teddy Bear Auction has brought in over $7,000 in two years.

Fans bid on the 27 creations at a silent auction at the Knighthawks-Chicago Shamrox game at The Blue Cross Arena. Build-A-Bear Workshop® also donated a bear signed by the entire team to help with the charitable event. Some of the featured animals included Pat O'Toole's Truly Canadian penguin, Grant Crawley's pirate monkey and Stephen Hoar's hockey turtle. The most popular animal, however, was rookie Andrew Potter's Steve Toll Shrek lacrosse player, which raised $202.
