(Rochester, NY)... The National Lacrosse League announced today that Rochester Knighthawks forward John Grant has been named the Offensive Player of the Week. Other Week Number 15 winners included Buffalo Bandits goaltender Steve Dietrich (Overall and Defensive Player of the Week), Buffalo's Mark Steenhuis (Transition Player of the Week) and Philadelphia Wings forward Athan Iannucci (Rookie of the Week).

Last weekend, he became only the sixth player in league history to reach 700 points. Grant is currently tied for the league-lead in points with 97 with Buffalo's John Tavares. Grant is bidding to become the first Rochester player to lead the league in points. Grant is Rochester's all-time leading scorer and is a six-time NLL All-Star.

This week, Rochester (12-2) and Buffalo meet in a crucial home-and-home series. The Knighthawks have the best record in the NLL and need one win to capture the East Division title.
