
Knighthawks' Bobby McBride Wins Weekly Nll Award

(Rochester, NY)... For the second straight week a member of the Rochester Knighthawks has been honored by the National Lacrosse League. Bobby McBride was named the Transition Player of the Week, joining goalie Pat O'Toole as a Rochester award winner this season.
McBride registered one goal, one assist and eight loose balls in Rochester's 13-11 win at Buffalo last Saturday. His goal early in the fourth quarter also put Rochester in front 10-8. The 27 year old from Newmarket, Ontario was acquired by the Knighthawks in the 2008 Dispersal Draft with the 16th overall pick on December 12, 2008.
Toronto Rock forward Colin Doyle was named the National Lacrosse League's Overall and Offensive Player of the Week for Week #2 of the 2010 NLL Season. Colorado Mammoth forward Ilija Gajic was voted Rookie of the Week and Philadelphia Wings goaltender Brandon Miller was named Defensive Player of the Week. The NLL Weekly Player Awards are determined each week by a vote of the General Managers & Head Coaches of the league's eleven member clubs.
The Knighthawks (2-0) continue their three-game road trip with a stop at the Air Canada Centre on Saturday, January 23rd against the Toronto Rock (2-0). The 7:00 p.m. contest will be broadcast live on The Zone 94.1 FM and thezone941.com. Fans can also watch the game live on the NLL Network.
