Knighthawks Activate Dylan Evans
April 6, 2012 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Rochester Knighthawks News Release
Rochester Knighthawks Owner and General Manager Curt Styres announced that the team has activated defenseman Dylan Evans. In a related move, the Knighthawks moved transition man Jordan Hall to the injured reserve list. The moves are pending league approval.
"It is definitely a good feeling. You don't like taking any steps back so I am happy to be back in the lineup and getting back into the game," said Evans.
This season, Evans has played in nine games and collected one goal, three assists and 41 loose balls. The second-year pro was moved to the practice squad on March 22nd at the league roster deadline. This summer, he was a member of the Mann Cup champion Brampton Excelsiors.
Hall goes to the IR after suffering an ACL injury on March 24th. The fifth-year pro had seven goals and 24 assists in 10 games. He still ranks second on the team in loose balls with 61. Hall was the first pick overall in the 2007 NLL Entry Draft by the New York Titans.
Rochester embarks on a home-and-home series with the West Division's Calgary Roughnecks, which begins tonight in Calgary at 9:00 p.m. The second contest shifts to Rochester on Saturday, April 14th at 7:30 p.m. The games will be broadcast on Sportsradio 950 ESPN and www.sportsradio950espn.com.
