KiXX Sign Two-Time League MVP Dino Delevski

Philadelphia, PA, February 16, 2006 - The Philadelphia KiXX announced today that the club has agreed to terms with all-star forward Dino Delevski for the remainder of the current 2005-06 Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) season. The team acquired the rights to the 29-year-old in the third round of the MISL Dispersal Draft that was held via teleconference on September 22, 2005. Per League policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Delevski, the MISL's MVP following both the 2001-02 and the 2002-03 seasons, tallied over 200 points in the two-year span to claim the Spalding Scoring Champion Title each season. The native of Skopje, Macedonia began his professional indoor career with the Wichita Wings in the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) in 1999-00, before joining the Comets prior to the 2001-02 campaign. Last season with the Comets, Delevski, who ranks fifth all-time in Kansas City franchise history in goals (213) and seventh in points (469), posted 56 points on 34 goals and 22 assists to finish fourth in the MISL.
The six-year veteran is a five-time All-League selection and a four-time All-Star. The 29-year-old graduate of Oklahoma City University also earned Second Team All-American honors and Regional Player of the Year recognition in 1999.
In other team news, rookie midfielder and Philadelphia native Tim O'Neill was recalled by the Virginia Beach Mariners of the outdoor A-League, effective immediately.
The team returns to the friendly confines of the Wachovia Spectrum to entertain former player/coach Omid Namazi and the first-placed St. Louis Steamers on Saturday, February 18. The first 2,500 fans, 14 and under, will receive a mini-soccer ball, courtesy of Giant Foods. Kick-off is slated for 7:05 pm ET with the doors opening at 6:00 pm ET. The contest will also be televised live on CN8, The Comcast Network with the broadcast scheduled to begin a t 7:00 pm ET.
