KiXX midfielder Ptah Myers named MISL Co-Offensive Player-of-the-Week

Philadelphia, PA, February 12, 2008 - The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) announced today that KiXX midfielder Ptah Myers has been named the MISL Co-Offensive Player-of-the-Week for the seven-day period ending February 10. The honor is the first of Myers' four-year career, coming after a two-goal, one assist performance over the first-place Milwaukee Wave on February 9.
Myers was credited with the game-winner after scoring both goals in the fourth quarter of a 12-8 victory. The win extended the KiXX streak to three-games. Myers was also given the assist after he sent a cross-field pass to teammate Aaron Susi for a goal, which at the time tied the game at six apiece. Myers was also credited with two blocks in the game.
A Columbus, Ohio native, Myers played at the University of Massachusetts before signing with the KiXX as a discovery player in 2004. Myers has scored 25 goals in 116 career games, including 13 in this alone. Myers ranks second on the team with 33 points this season, behind only player/coach Don D'Ambra, who just passed the 1,000 point mark for his career.
The club will host the Chicago Storm for the team's 13th Annual School Day Game on Wednesday, February 13 at 10:35am. The KiXX will travel to Detroit to face the Ignition on Friday, February 15 at 7:35pm ET before returning home to host the California Cougars on Saturday, February 23 at 7:05pm ET for the KiXX first ever Dollar Dog Night.
