GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Sagu, Baltimore Blast, GK

Sagu earned his eighth win of the season with a 12-4 win over the Orlando Sharks Saturday night. He allowed just two goals in the game (both in the second quarter) and stopped 13 of the 15 shots he faced. Sagu leads the MISL with an 8.22 points against average and is tied to rank third with eight wins. He has been named Goalkeeper of the Week once already this season (October 22).

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Genoni Martinez, La Raza de Monterrey, D

In a 15-10 triumph over Detroit at Arena Monterrey, the Monterrey Team Captain recorded six points and six blocks. Martinez was involved in three of Monterrey's five tallies in the second half. The League's only four-time Defender of the Year (since 1984-85) assisted on a Dino Delevski two-point score before notching his own three-point score and the games final two-point goal.

Co-OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Byron Alvarez, La Raza de Monterrey, F

Alvarez helped La Raza to their second consecutive win and their third victory in their last four outings with a five-point performance in a 15-10 triumph over the Detroit Ignition. In the first quarter, Alvarez assisted on Armando Teran's first two-point tally of the match, cutting the Ignition lead in half. Then, Alvarez led an 11-2 second half scoring advantage over the Ignition, notching two two-point goals, including the game-winner.

Ptah Myers, Philadelphia KiXX, D

Myers scored two fourth quarter goals in the KiXX 12-8 win over first place Milwaukee on Saturday, February 9. He also recorded an assist. Myers first goal at 6:19 of the fourth stood as the game-winner. Myers' 13 goals are tied for second on the team.
