KiXX host Ignition in rematch of 2007 championship game

Philadelphia, PA, February 1, 2008 - The defending Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Champion Philadelphia KiXX (8-11) will host the Detroit Ignition (12-5) on Saturday, February 2 at 7:05pm. The two teams squared off in the 2007 MISL Championship game; the KiXX went on to win 13-8. In honor of Ground Hogs Day and Punxsutawney Phil, any fan named Phil or dressed as a ground hog will receive free admittance to the game. The match will be webcast live on www.wmssfm.com with play-by-play from John Wilsbach.

The KiXX and Ignition haven't met since the beginning of the season, when Detroit took both a home and road game from Philadelphia. Detroit currently sits atop the MISL standings with a 12-5 record. On November 3 in Detroit, Hewerton Moriera and Ricardinho each recorded six points in the Ignition 17-6 victory. Angel Rivillo contributed two goals for the KiXX. In the KiXX home opener on November 10, Detroit outlasted Philadelphia 11-9, with goals from four different players. Rivillo again scored two goals, and KiXX player/coach Don D'Ambra recorded three assists.

The KiXX will stay at home to host the Milwaukee Wave on Saturday, February 9 at 7:05pm ET. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a KiXX Hat courtesy of NBC10. The club will then host the Chicago Storm for the team's 13th Annual School Day Game on Wednesday, February 13 at 10:35am.
