KiXX Host Defending Champs on Saturday, February 25

Philadelphia, PA, February 24, 2006 - The Philadelphia KiXX (4-14), in the midst of a franchise-worst nine-game losing streak, return to the City of Brotherly Love to entertain the defending Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Champion Milwaukee Wave on Saturday, February 25. The night, dubbed "Boy Scout Night," offers special discounts and promotions to the area boy scouts. Game-time at the Wachovia Spectrum is scheduled for 7:05 pm ET with the doors opening at 6:00 pm ET.
Saturday's contest will be the final regular-season meeting between the Wave and Philadelphia at the Wachovia Spectrum this season; the two clubs will square-off for the final time at U.S. Cellular Arena on March 19. The Wave, under the direction of Head Coach Keith Tozer, earned a pair of victories, 10-5 and 7-4, respectively in a home-and-home series on January 20 and 21. Current MISL-points leader Greg Howes and Todd Dusosky led Milwaukee on January 20 with three goals, while defender Drew Kopp led Philadelphia with the first hat trick of his six-year career. Nine different scorers chipped for the Wave on January 21, as veteran forward Goran Vasic paced the KiXX with three points.
Milwaukee also defeated the club, 6-3, in the first match-up at the Wachovia Spectrum on November 19 courtesy of three assists from Dusosky. The all-star forward then added another three points (goal, two assists) in the 5-3 Wave victory at the U.S. Cellular Arena on December 9. 2005 MISL Rookie of the Year John Barry Nusum led Philadelphia with a pair of goals, while local standout Pat Morris accounted for the team's only other score.
