KiXX Agree to Terms with Two Local Temple Products

Philadelphia, PA, October 26, 2006 - The Philadelphia KiXX announced today that the club has agreed to terms with midfielder Tony Donatelli and goalkeeper Pat Hannigan for the upcoming 2006-07 Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) season. Both players are graduates of Temple University and the club's top overall selection in each of the past two amateur drafts. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Donatelli, Philadelphia's first selection (sixth overall) in the 2006 MISL College Draft and product of Temple University, capped a stellar collegiate career by leading the Philadelphia Soccer Seven in scoring for the second consecutive season and earning the 2005 League Player of the Year award. The Glenside, PA native was also named first team All-Atlantic 10 Conference for the second straight year and was named first team All-Mid-Atlantic Region. Donatelli finished his senior year with six goals and five assists for 17 points and leaves as the institutions single season (nine, 2004) and career (21) assist leader. He was also selected by the expansion Houston 1836 with the eighth pick of the third round in Major League Soccer's (MLS) supplement draft.

The club's first overall selection (seventh overall) pick in the 2005 MISL College Draft, Hannigan was a two-time Atlantic-10 Defensive Player of the Year and the Philadelphia Soccer Seven Player of the Year for 2004, in which he posted an 11-7-2 record in goal for Temple University. He made 89 saves for a .817 save percentage, a 1.00 goals against average and posted a Soccer Seven high eight shutouts. For his career, the Frankford High School product compiled 30 wins and 20 shutouts, while posting a 1.41 goals against average and a .798 save percentage. The 6-3 goalkeeper was also selected by the New York/New Jersey MetroStars, now known as Red Bull New York, in the Major League Soccer (MLS) supplemental draft on February 4, 2005 to become the Owl's first player to selected in a MLS draft.

Both Donatelli and Hannigan competed with current KiXX midfielder Steve Wacker at Temple University.

The KiXX kick-off their 11th season of professional indoor soccer versus the California Cougars at the Stockton Arena on Saturday, November 5, before returning to the City of Brotherly Love to open the home portion of their schedule versus the expansion Detroit Ignition on Saturday, November 11. All patrons entering the gates at the Wachovia Spectrum will receive a complimentary 2006-07 Philadelphia KiXX Magnetic Schedule. Game-time is slated for 7:05 pm ET, with the doors opening at 6:00 pm ET.

The KiXX also introduced a Party PaXX for the 2006-07 season, which consists of two seats behind the goal, two hot dogs and two domestic beers (must present valid ID upon redemption) for $44. The Philadelphia KiXX are a member of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL), a single-entity organization that features a coast-to-coast presence across the United States. The club will enter their 11th season of play in 2006-07 at the Wachovia Spectrum located in Philadelphia, PA. The team also operates the Philadelphia KiXX Summer Kamp program, which is offered to boys and girls, ages four to 18, from mid-June through August throughout the Tri-State area.
