Chris Kinsey scattered six hits over seven innings to win his first game of the year and lead the Lancaster JetHawks to a 6-4 win over the Inland Empire 66ers on Thursday night at Arrowhead Credit Union Park in San Bernardino.

Lancaster tallied four runs in the top of the first inning off 66ers starter Jason Mackintosh. Erik Schindewolf was hit by a pitch to open the game and scored on an RBI-double by Jon Kaplan to give the JetHawks a 1-0 lead.

Alex Frazier singed with two outs in the first, one of his three hits in the game. Miguel Montero followed with a single and Brian Rose followed with a base hit to drive in a run. Jeff Cook then singled in two more runs with a single to left.

Leading 5-1 in the sixth, Jay Garthwaite hit his first home run of the year to put the JetHawks up 6-1.

Kinsey (1-2) allowed only two earned runs and did not walk anyone in seven innings, his longest outing to date this year. Dustin Glant pitched a scoreless ninth inning to record his third save.
