
King Returns to Florence

The Florence Phantoms are proud too announce the return of 2008 AIFA General Manager of the Year Bennie King. Under Bennie's leadership as VP of Operations last year the phantoms had their most successful season in team history and captured the 2008 AIFA Championship. Winning championships is nothing new too Bennie in indoor football. Prior to coming too Florence Bennie was General Manager for the Lakeland Thunderbolts the 2007 AIFA League Champions.
" I have been blessed to have had success where I have been and am thrilled to be back in Florence"said King.
The Phantoms last season finished the year with a ten game winning streak and beat the Wyoming Cavalry 48-12 in front of 5,000 fans at the Florence Civic Center.
"I thank our team owner Barbara Spigner for the opportunity and confidence to lead this organization." said King." I can assure the fans of the pee dee that we will bring the same type of product on the field and off this year as we defend our championship" said King. "Were looking for the fans and the community to come out and support us and build off that great attendance in our last game verse Wyoming".
The Phantoms open the season March 7th at the Florence Civic center verse the Carolina Speed.
