Killer Bees, Televisa to air Saturday home games
October 10, 2006 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
Hidalgo, Texas --- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League (CHL) today announced that 12 games will be shown locally on Televisa affiliate XERV-9 (cable 19). Under the agreement all Killer Bees Saturday night home games will be aired with the first being Saturday, October 21, vs. Arizona at 7:30 p.m.
Rich Bocchini has the play-by-play call and will be joined by Dennis Scott and Alex Del Barrio in the broadcast booth. Fans can look forward to live interviews with the coaching staff and players during each intermission among other features planned.
"We're excited to once again have Televisa bring our games into the homes of our fans," said Killer Bees General Manager Grant Buckborough. "A big part of our success has been Televisa's involvement, which allows fans who can't make it out to the Arena the chance to watch their team. Equally important, the games are on in local bars and restaurants, which allow those with a passing interest a chance to see the game and hopefully, get them excited about the Bees."
Individual tickets for the Bees preseason game on October 17, as well as all regular season games, are on sale now. Tickets are available at the Dodge Arena Box Office, online at killerbeehockey.com, and by phone at 866-RIO-TIXX. Tickets can also be purchased at The Boot Jack Valley Wide, Valley Yamaha, Melhart's Music Center, Lionel's Western Wear Weslaco, or Lone Star National Bank.
The Killer Bees open up their fourth season of CHL action on the weekend of October 20 and 21, 2006 vs. the Arizona Sundogs. Season tickets and corporate sponsorships are available now by calling (956) 843-PUCK.
