Killer Bees Open Weekend Series vs. Lone Star Brahmas

HIDALGO, Texas - Back on home ice for the next three weekends, the Killer Bees will play their second series against the Lone Star Brahmas on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12 at 7:05 p.m. at the State Farm Arena.

The first time the Bees faced the Brahmas, it took overtime to declare a winner. Although the first game was not in the Bees favor, they earned their payback in the second game of the series, which was recorded as the franchise's first win ever in NAHL Division Play.

The Bees are coming off of a successful weekend sweep of the Odessa Jackalopes. Forward Nathan Flynn (Hasings, Minn.) scored three goals throughout the series while forward Ben Greiner (Newport Beach, Calif.) scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season.

The Killer Bees have a record of 4 - 3 - 3. In the division the Bees are three points away from first place team, Wichita Falls. Forward Ben Greiner is the scoring leader on the team with four goals.

The next home game after this weekends' series will be against the Lone Star Brahmas on Saturday, October 19 at 7:05 p.m. at the State Farm Arena. The NAHL consists of 24 teams split into 4 divisions. The RGV Killer Bees competes in the biggest division which is the South division and includes 7 teams, the Amarillo Bulls, Corpus Christi IceRays, Odessa Jackalopes, Lone Star Brahmas, Topeka RoadRunners and the Wichita Falls Wildcats.
