The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced on Thursday that goaltenders B.J. O'Brien and Dan Dunn have both signed contracts to play with the Killer Bees for the upcoming season.

Dunn (6'4, 200) recently completed a collegiate career at St. Cloud State where he compiled a 20-15-6 record over four seasons. Dunn earned All-WCHA third-team honors during the 2009-10 season and was once named the WCHA Defensive Player of the Week.

Dunn is an Oshawa, Ont. Native suiting up for three teams in the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League (OPJHL). Dunn is a 2007 draft pick by the Washington Capitals in the sixth round.

O'Brien (6'0, 185) just finished an incredibly impressive career at St. Norbert's culminating with the NCAA Division III National Championship last season. O'Brien has served as the backstop for the Green Knights for three seasons. During the 2010 National Championship game O'Brien turned in an incredible 70-save performance and was named the Frozen Four Most Valuable Player despite St. Norbet's 2-1 double-overtime defeat.

O'Brien has been named All-American, All-Conference, All-USCHO and most recently the USCHO Division III Player of the Year. In his senior season, O'Brien went 22-2-1 with a 1.64 Goals-Against-Average and .931 Save Percentage.

"Both goalies bring big game and great statistic credentials to the table," said Killer Bees General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "Though they may technically be rookies I have full confidence that both of these guys can come in and play right away. We are very fortunate to have these guys, besides being really good goalies they are really good guys and that's important for our organization. I like character and ability. These guys have both."

Tickets for the Killer Bees ninth season of play are now on sale by calling the Bees at 956-843-7825 or for more information visit the website at killerbeehockey.com.
