Kids take a ride aboard Newark Express

October 13, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Jersey Express News Release

Newark, NJ. The ABA Newark Express will host its 1st Annual Youth Basketball Camp on Saturday, October 14th. The JFK Recreation Center in Newark NJ, the Official Training Facility for the Newark Express, will play host for the camp. The Camp is offered to children 7 to 14 years old and best of all it's free.

The camp will run from 10am to 2pm, with registration beginning promptly at 9am. Campers will receive clinical instruction from Head Coach Ron Moore and his coaching staff. Area coaches from Essex County's basketball community will offer a helping hand to the campers who will participate in drills and skills stations throughout the day. Campers will also get the opportunity to interact with the pros, have pictures taken, see high flying above the rim dunk-offs, and go one on one with the members of the Newark Express basketball team.

Immediately following the Youth Camp, The Newark Express Organization will kick off the beginning of Veterans Camp. Invitees from the Express' earlier tryouts will battle feverishly in an attempt to make the team for the 2006-2007 season. The first day of Veterans Camp is open to all attendees of the Youth Camp.
