
Kickers Announce New Rec Director

RICHMOND, VA - (Monday, March 31, 2014) - After an extensive search and numerous impressive applicants, the Richmond Kickers are pleased to introduce Amy Neal as the club's new Rec Director.
"After speaking with many highly qualified applicants, we are thrilled to welcome Amy to our team as the new Rec Director," commented Shelley Sowers, Richmond Kickers General Manager. "I am confident that her experience and enthusiasm will provide all of our Kickers families with the best possible environment for fun and development, while building upon the successes and growth achieved over the last three decades."
As the Rec Director, Neal will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the recreational program, while facilitating the strategic direction of the club. Her primary duties will include providing the highest level of customer service while building upon the program's unassailable reputation for success on and off the field. Under her leadership, the Kickers will continue to offer the membership with quality soccer curriculums at four locations, including Hensley Park, Ukrop Park, Providence Middle School and Bryan Park.
"I am excited to join the Richmond Kickers as the Rec Director," said Neal. "I am looking forward to working alongside the many dedicated volunteers involved in the program to reach the ultimate goal of providing fun, top-class opportunities for kids of all ages and abilities while instilling our youth with important life skills."
Neal joins the Kickers after an extensive career at the YMCA. A former tennis student-athlete at Temple University and a native of New Hampshire, Neal resides in Midlothian with her husband Ken, son Jake, who plays on the Kickers U11 Elite team and daughter Becca, who plays on the Kickers U9 Woodlake team.
