Eagles Head Coach, Mark Steffens, added his thoughts on the new goalkeeper, "Our coaching staff is excited that Doug Herrick will be with us this season. He's had some excellent training with the Seattle Sounders at the MLS level. His leadership skills in communicating with and directing the back four is very good. Doug is a real athletic keeper without any noticeable weaknesses. He is a hard worker, consequently he will get better and better as the season progresses.
