Kevin Rice Suffers Season Ending Injury

Kennesaw, Ga. -Kevin Rice will miss the remainder of the regular season after suffering a season ending knee injury during a training session. Rice is expected to undergo surgery within the next few weeks. He will immediately undergo rehabilitation, and will be rejoining the team at the beginning of the 2017 season.

Rice has been a driving force this season, leading the team in goals (37) and assists (21), while collecting 17 ground balls. Blaze owner Peter Trematerra commented, "While we are disappointed that Kevin will be unable to complete this season with the Blaze, I and the entire Blaze organization will always hold the health of our players as the number one priority. We are confident that with the proper rest and therapy under the guidance of doctors and training staff, Kevin will return at full strength for the start of the 2017 season."

Echoing the words of Mr. Trematerra, all Blaze players and staff are wishing Kevin well and are looking forward to having him back to all-star status next season.
