Kelowna Falcons Lose in 10 Innings

Kelowna, BC: The Kelowna Falcons had their five game winning streak snapped on Tuesday night after a 4-3 set-back to Klamath Falls in extra innings.

The Gems would get on the board first with three runs in the fourth inning thanks to RBI hits from Nick Rulli, Parker Miles and Conner George.

The Falcons would respond in the sixth inning with three runs of their own. Jerry McClanahan, Kyle Pearson and Troy Conyers each had an RBI hits. Pearson records his team leading 24th, while Conyers records his first.

Nothing was solved after nine innings in a 3-3 tie.

In the top of the 10th Gems' first baseman Josh Wong hit the first pitch he saw over the wall to give the visitors a 4-3 lead, and ultimately the win. It was Wong's third homer of the year.

Falcons' lefty Alan Scott is clipped with his first loss of the season, giving up the homer to Wong.

The Falcons (18-11) will face the Gems (10-19) in a rubber match at Elks Stadium on Wednesday night at 6:35pm. It's autograph ball night, the first 150 fans will receive a complimentary baseball, gates open at 5:30pm.
