Kelly Pavlik to Attend Gladiators Season Finale

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Gladiators are pleased to announce that WBO and WBC Middleweight World Champion KELLY "THE GHOST" PAVLIK will be on hand as the honorary coin toss captain for the Gladiators season finale in the "Battle of the Buckeye State," when they host the Columbus Destroyers on Saturday, June 21. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena.

Pavlik, a native of Youngstown, will join Gladiators President and CEO BERNIE KOSAR - also a Youngstown native, at midfield for the pre-game coin toss.

On September 27, 2007, Pavlik became the WBO and WBC Middleweight Champion, with his seventh round TKO of then-undefeated Jermain Taylor in Atlantic City. He defended his titles on June 7, 2008 versus Gary Lockett, earning at TKO in the third round. Pavlik is 34-0 (30 TKO) in his professional boxing career.

The Gladiators return home for the regular season finale on June 21 for the "Battle of the Buckeye State," when they host their in-state rival Columbus Destroyers. The first 10,000 fans will receive a Bernie Kosar bobblehead, presented by The Plain Dealer.
