Keller scores twice for Barons in 4-1 win

HOUSTON --- Ryan Keller scored twice for the Oklahoma City Barons in a 4-1 win over the Houston Aeros in Game 2 of the AHL's Western Conference Quarterfinals Friday night at Toyota Center. The Barons took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series.

Cody Almond scored Houston's only goal at 3:48 in the third period to cut the OKC lead to 3-1.

Keller scored at 19:13 in the first to give the Barons a 1-0 lead at 19:13 in the first period, and upped the lead to 2-0 at 4:02 in the second period with a power play goal.

Tyler Pitlick made it 3-0 at 14:15 in the second with his second goal of the playoffs.

Hunter Tremblay added a short-handed goal at 13:17 in the third.

Matt Hackett, who started in goal for Houston, was injured on the third OKC goal and was relieved by Mike Brodeur. Hackett suffreed the loss with 19 saves on 21 shots. Brodeur stopped 14 of 16. OKC's Yann Danis made 19 saves in the win.

Houston will face the Barons at 7 p.m. Sunday at Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City in Game 3 of the best-of-five first round AHL Western Conference series. Games 4 and 5, if necessary, are Tuesday and Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
