Standing in the 11-4 Kastles' way on Sunday are the 13-2 Austin Aces, who defeated Washington in two of three meetings during the regular season.

The Aces beat the Kastles 22-17 on July 14 in D.C. and 19-16 on Tuesday in Austin. Washington's win over the Aces came on July 24 in Austin by a score of 22-14, leaving the two teams tied at 55 total games in the season series.

Top to bottom, the Kastles and Aces boast the most talented rosters in team tennis, with eight players inside the Top 53 of the world singles or doubles rankings.

SET-BY-SET PROJECTIONS

MS - S. Querrey (WAS) vs. T. Gabashvili (AUS)

In the Kastles' 19-16 loss in Austin on Tuesday, everything was going accordingly for Washington with wins in men's and women's doubles to begin the match. But 15 minutes later, Gabashvili had finished a 5-0 sweep of Querrey in men's singles, giving Austin a two-game lead. Querrey has played incredible tennis since then at home, winning two 5-0 sets of his own against Boston and Philadelphia. He also beat Gabashvili 5-3 on July 24.

July 28: Teymuraz Gabashvili (AUS) def. Sam Querrey (WAS) 5-0 in 3rd set

July 24: Sam Querrey (WAS) def. Teymuraz Gabashvili (AUS) 5-3 in 5th set

July 14: Denis Kudla (WAS) def. Teymuraz Gabashvili (AUS) 5-4 in 1st set

WS - M. Brengle (WAS) vs. E. Svitolina (AUS)

Added to the Aces' roster on July 27, Svitolina has swept three singles sets this week, including a 5-1 win over Brengle. The first-year Kastle responded two nights later by beating Wimbledon quarterfinalist CoCo Vandeweghe 5-2 during the Eastern Conference Championship match. Brengle will look to repeat that performance against the 20-year-old Ukrainian on Sunday, with Hingis giving coach Murphy Jensen another option at singles.

July 28: Elina Svitolina (AUS) def. Madison Brengle (WAS) 5-1 in 5th set

July 24: Nicole Gibbs (AUS) def. Anastasia Rodionova (WAS) 5-2 in 3rd set

July 14: Venus Williams (WAS) def. Nicole Gibbs (AUS) 5-3 in 4th set

MD - L. Paes/S. Querrey (WAS) vs. T. Gabashvili/J. Jenkins (AUS)

Of the five sets, men's doubles has been Washington's strongest entering Sunday's championship match. Paes and Querrey have swept eight straight sets, including a 5-4 win over Gabashvili and Jenkins on Tuesday and a 5-2 win against the same pair on July 24. Jenkins, however, has extra motivation to turn the tide for his team. He led the nearby University of Virginia to its first NCAA men's tennis team championship in 2013.

July 28: Paes/Querrey (WAS) def. Gabashvili/Jenkins (AUS) 5-4 in 1st set

July 24: Paes/Querrey (WAS) def. Gabashvili/Jenkins (AUS) 5-2 in 4th set

WD - M. Hingis/A. Rodionova (WAS) vs. A. Kudryavtseva/E. Svitolina (AUS)

Though the teams of Hingis/Rodionova and Kudryavtseva/Svitolina did not meet during the regular season, Rodionova and Brengle defeated Kudryavtseva and Svitolina 5-3 on Tuesday. With Hingis by Rodionova's side, the Kastles are favored again. Of the four players, Svitolina is the least accomplished in doubles. At No. 132 in the WTA doubles rankings, she is more than 100 spots behind Hingis, Rodionova and Kudryavtseva.

July 28: Brengle/Rodionova (WAS) def. Kudryavtseva/Svitolina (AUS) 5-3 in 2nd set

July 24: Hingis/Rodionova (WAS) def. Gibbs/Kudryavtseva (AUS) 5-1 in 2nd set

July 14: Gibbs/Kudryavtseva (AUS) def. Rodionova/Williams (WAS) 5-1 in 2nd set

MXD - L. Paes/M. Hingis (WAS) vs. T. Gabashvili/A. Kudryavtseva (AUS)

The Wimbledon and Australian Open champions gave the Kastles all the momentum they needed in Thursday's Eastern Conference Championship match by beating Marcelo Melo and Taylor Townsend 5-1. Hingis and Paes also won their only prior meeting against Kudryavtseva and Gabashvili 5-3 in Austin on July 24. With Gabashvili due to play three sets on Sunday, the Kastles could wear the Russian down by attacking him at net.

July 28: Paes/Rodionova (WAS) def. Gabashvili/Kudryavtseva (AUS) 5-2 in 4th set

July 24: Paes/Hingis (WAS) def. Gabashvili/Kudryavtseva (AUS) 5-3 in 1st set
