For tennis-savvy fans who love to watch how the pros hit their shots and move their feet, these tickets offer tremendous views. Only 54 Kastles Baseline Club seats exist, so act now!

Charity Classic Tuesday - Darrell Green to Return

Congressmen, Media, Other Athletes Join Kastles for a Great Cause

Some of Washington's most influential leaders will part with their partisan pride and raise a racquet for a wonderful cause this Tuesday night during the third annual Washington Kastles Charity Classic, coming to Kastles Stadium at the Smith Center.

Members of Congress, the national media and other professional athletes will join the four-time Mylan World TeamTennis champion Washington Kastles for this one-of-a-kind tennis event.

Democrats, Republicans and even the Kastles will be separated into Team Stars and Team Stripes for a series of fast-paced tiebreakers. The team with the most cumulative points at the end of the final tiebreaker will capture the Charity Classic championship.

NBC's David Gregory earned MVP honors in 2013, sparking Team Stripes to a 42-39 victory over Team Stars, who were led by 2012 Charity Classic hero and former Director of the National Economic Council Gene Sperling. Six days following the 2013 match, Congressmen Tim Bishop, Jim Costa, Charlie Dent and Mike McIntyre recognized the Charity Classic in the middle of a session on the Floor of the House of Representatives, which aired live on C-SPAN. Click here for highlights.

Sperling, Bishop, Costa and McIntyre return this year alongside former Washington Redskins Pro Bowlers Darrell Green and Brian Mitchell, as well as TV personalities Bret Baier, Peter Cook, Ed Henry and Jonathan Karl. Legendary local anchorman Jim Vance of NBC4 will serve as the chair umpire.

All general admission tickets to the Charity Classic cost $10, with VIP seats starting at $50. Proceeds from 100% of the ticket sales will benefit Best Buddies, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), DC Public Education Fund and Food & Friends. Fans are given the choice of which organization they would like to support when they make their ticket purchase.

"The Kastles were founded as a platform to give back to the community, and the Charity Classic is one of our signature events," said Kastles owner Mark Ein . "Leaders from throughout our region, who don't work together very often, unite at Kastles Stadium for a great cause. Fans and all of our players really enjoy the event, and in just our third year, the Charity Classic seems destined to be a Washington institution."

Founded by Ein in 2008, the Kastles will surpass $1 million in charitable donations this season.

The Charity Classic serves as an extension of those efforts, and this year's event has already attracted notable names from politics, athletics and the media. Former World No. 1s Martina Hingis and Leander Paes will be joined by Kastles teammates Bobby Reynolds and Anastasia Rodionova, as well as the following confirmed celebrity players:

* Representative Joyce Beatty, D-OH

* Representative Tim Bishop, D-NY

* Representative Cheri Bustos, D-IL

* Representative Jim Costa, D-CA

* Representative John Delaney, D-MD

* Representative Tulsi Gabbard, D-HI (Vice Chair, Democratic National Committee)

* Representative Bob Goodlatte, R-VA (Chair, House Judiciary Committee)

* Representative Mike McIntyre, D-NC

* Representative Shelley Moore Capito, R-WV

* Representative Erik Paulsen, R-MN

* Representative Bobby Scott, D-VA

* Rocky McIntosh, Former Washington Redskins Linebacker

* Brian Mitchell, Former Washington Redskins Pro Bowler

* Gene Sperling, Former Director of the National Economic Council

* Josh Wilson, Atlanta Falcons Cornerback
