Kastles on ESPN SportsCenter -- Breakdown of Kastles and Heat

Washington Kastles News Release

The Washington Kastles received national attention on Wednesday night when ESPN SportsCenter highlighted the team's unbelievable unbeaten run.

As anchor Neil Everett discussed the 20-game NBA winning streak of the Miami Heat, he pointed that the Kastles have won 32 straight World TeamTennis matches.

A video of the segment is available on the Kastles' Facebook page.

Washington is preparing for the chance to tie and break the all-time record for the longest winning streak by a major U.S. pro sports team.

The Kastles could match the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers with their 33rd consecutive victory when they host the New York Sportimes in the Mylan WTT season opener on July 8. One night later, Venus Williams, Leander Paes and Bobby Reynolds could help Washington break the Lakers' longstanding record at home against the Boston Lobsters.

Meanwhile, the Heat are quickly catching up to the Kastles. To do so, Miami would need to continue winning through its April 5 game against the Charlotte Bobcats.

It won't be easy for LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and company. Nine of Miami's next 12 games are on the road -- including four straight beginning tomorrow night in Milwaukee.

Though they play on different courts, the Kastles and Heat have shared a flair for the dramatic during their respective runs. Here's how the two streaking teams stack up:
