Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings of the United Hockey League announce the acquisition of forward Tim Krueckl (crew-KULL) from the Fort Wayne Komets.

The rookie started his professional career by playing eight games last season with the Komets. The native of Clareshom, Alberta played his college hockey at both Iona College and Lake Superior State University.

The K-Wings will play two home games this week. Tomorrow Kalamazoo will host the Muskegon Fury on Disco Inferno Night. Come enjoy all the great hockey action and salute the 70's, as the K-Wings host their intra-state rivals and defending Colonial Cup Champions with a 7:30 p.m. face-off at Wings Stadium.

On Saturday, the K-Wings host the Richmond RiverDogs for the 5th Annual WOTV, WKFR Teddy Bear Toss night. When the K-Wings score their first goal of the night, fans will be able to throw their stuffed animals onto the ice.

The bears will be collected and donated to area children's hospitals along with the WOTV Angel Tree Foundation.

Last season, the K-Wings collected over 1,000 stuffed animals that were distributed to children during the holidays.

Besides the Annual Teddy Bear Toss Game, the K-Wings are encouraging fans to bring used coats to the game to be donated to the Open Door Shelter of Kalamazoo.

Also in attendance this Saturday will be Santa Clause. Old Saint Nick, along with Mrs. Clause and one of his special helpers will be available for pictures in Hospitality Hall (Door 6) near Section 17 during the game, as well as intermissions.
