St. John's Edge News Release
St. John's, NL - Today, the National Basketball League of Canada announced that Junior Cadougan has been named Canadian Player of the Week for the week ending January 6, 2019.
Cadougan, a 6'2" guard who played collegiately at Marquette, averaged 17.0 points in four Edge victories this week; he also made several key plays in clutch situations to lead the Edge to the win column.
"Junior's been our heart and soul this season," said Edge head coach Doug Plumb. "I signed him in the offseason, because I've known Junior for over five years - he's one of the toughest individuals I've seen in my entire basketball career. Junior to me is the consummate winner, he makes timely plays and he's one heck of a defender. He always seems to come up with a big play at the time when it's needed."
The St. John's Edge congratulate Junior on his Canadian Player of the Week selection and look forward to his continued hard work throughout the rest of the 2018-19 season.
