
Juggernaut Gold Medalist to Appear in NJ

New York/New Jersey Juggernaut News Release
WHAT: The New York/New Jersey Juggernaut of National Pro Fastpitch will feature 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist and Juggernaut General Manager, Julie Smith, at the 7th Annual Michelle Fund Tournament on Friday, April 29th, 2005. Smith and her gold medal will be on hand for the tournament's opening ceremonies, which begin at 5:45pm at Municipal Park in Montville, NJ. She will address the crowd, take photographs and sign autographs for all fans in attendance. The Juggernaut will also be setting up a booth and donating tickets to the tournament while promoting the year old professional league. The Michelle Fund Tournament will feature 36 teams from the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area. The tournament, held annually within the Montville community, honors Michelle Sullivan, a young girl killed by a motorcycle on her way home and has been in existence since 1998. Funds raised from the event are donated to female sports within the Montville Community.

DIRECTIONS: From Route 80 East
Take exit 47B (Route 46 East - Parsippany). At the second traffic light, exit at Hook Mountain Road (the jughandle exit after the traffic light & Wendy's Restaurant). Cross Route 46 and make a left at the first light onto Bloomfield Avenue. Make a right at the first light, onto Changebridge Road. Proceed approximately 2 miles and make a left at the fourth traffic light onto River Road. Municipal Baseball Fields are on the right.
From Route 80 West : Take exit 48 towards Montville/Pinebrook. At exit, make a left onto Hook Mountain Road. Make a right at the first light onto Bloomfield Avenue. Make a right at the first light onto Changebridge Road. Proceed approximately 2 miles and make a left at the fourth traffic light onto River Road. Municipal Baseball Fields are on the right.
From 287 North: Take exit 47- Montville/Lincoln Park. At the exit, make a left onto Route 202 North. Continue approximately 1/4 mile to traffic light. At the light, make a right onto Changebridge Road (Exxon station on your right). Continue approximately 1 1/4 miles. Make a right onto Church Lane. At the end, make a left onto River Road. The Baseball Fields are almost immediately on the left.
From 287 South: Take exit 47 â Montville/Lincoln Park. At the exit, make a right onto Route 202 North. Continue approx. 1/2 mile to the second traffic light.
