Halifax Rainmen News Release
The Halifax Rainmen are pleased to announce that 6-foot-7, 235-pound power forward, Josh Dollard, has been named PBL Player of The Week.
During last weekend's road games against the Saint John Mill Rats and the Quebec Kebs, Dollard scored 69 points and had 23 rebounds, averaging 34 points per game.
"I'm very happy for Josh," said Halifax Rainmen President & CEO, Andre Levingston. "He's been working very hard and is extremely focused on becoming a better player. I believe he will one day have the opportunity to play in the NBA - he's that good."
"I'm very honoured to have received the award," said Dollard. "I couldn't have achieved it without the help of my teammates, Mr. Levingston and Coach Evans and his staff. I want to thank them all for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to become the best player I can be."
Dollard and his teammates will look for revenge against the Quebec Kebs this Saturday in a 1:00 overtime re-match as well as a 1:30 regular scheduled game. The Rainmen will introduce a five-dollar ticket for children 12 and under for Saturday's game, which can be purchased at any Ticket Atlantic Location or at the Metro Centre Box Office from March 1 to 5.
Additional tickets for the March 5 game can be purchased at any Ticket Atlantic location or at the Metro Centre Box Office. For group rate inquiries, please visit www.rainmenbasketball.ca.
