The Cedar Rapids River Kings have re-signed wide receiver Jordan Smith to their 2019 Indoor Football League roster.

Smith (6-0, 185, Tennessee Tech University) started eight games and played in 13 for Cedar Rapids last season as a rookie, totaling 363 yards and one touchdown on 44 receptions.

During his collegiate career at Tennessee Tech, Smith contributed in eight games as a true freshman and went on to play as a true sophomore before redshirting in 2014. Jordan went on to play complete seasons as a junior and senior, finishing his career as a Golden Eagle with 59 receptions for 721 yards and six touchdowns. He also received recognition for his studies as he was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team.

Jordan is originally from LaVergne, Tennessee, where he attended Battle Ground Academy and was a two-time Division II-AA all-state selection. He was also a second-team All-Mid-State pick as a senior and two-time all-region pick as a wide receiver. Since beginning his post-collegiate and professional career, Jordan returns in the offseason to his alma mater to serve as an assistant coach for the Wildcats football program.
