Jones Joins Thunder as Defensive Coordinator

Berlin Thunder presents new coach Charles "Yogi" Jones as the new defensive coordinator of the Berlin Thunder.

After Jim Tomsula and Steve Logan left Berlin to be part of the Rhein Fire, Berlin Thunder headcoach presented the first pair of new coaches for the NFL Europe 2006 season.

The most important member of the Berlin Thunder coaching staff is the new defensive coordinator Charles "Yogi" Jones. He is not unknown to the NFL Europe. He has already coached three teams in the NFL Europe. He was responsible for the linebackers of the Hamburg Sea Devils last year, coached the same position with the Scottish Claymores in 2004 and was defensive assistant with the Frankfurt Galaxy from 1999 to 2002.

William Hurley will be the new defensive backs coach of the Berlin Thunder. He played in the NFL from 1980 - 1983 and was recently the defensive backs coach for the Duquensne University.
