Join the Jacks to Celebrate Service People & Balloons

Currently in playoff position with less than two weeks to go in the regular season, the Pump Jacks host a two-game series when we celebrate our brave service men and women and the Great Texas Balloon Race!

The East Texas Pump Jacks have surged of late, going 7-3 in their last ten games to take over the fourth and final TCL playoff spot. With their postseason goals in sight, the Pump Jacks return to historic Driller Park for an important two-game series Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Jacks face the Texas Marshals the next two games, the same Marshals nipping at their heels in the playoff race. Last Thursday and Friday, the Pump Jacks swept Texas in two games at Driller Park, shutting out the Marshals both nights.

East Texas is also just two games out of the third seed in the TCL playoffs. They are chasing the Acadiana Cutters, who will be in town for the final two regular season games on August 7 and 8.

On Tuesday, the Pump Jacks will celebrate the brave men and women of the military, fire, and police departments with Service Appreciation Night. All members of the military, fire, and police will be able to purchase Grandstand tickets for just two dollars apiece for themselves and their families. The Jacks also expect to have several service vehicles on hand to help celebrate the men and women who keep us safe.

Wednesday will be a very special event at Driller Park- so special, in fact, that the game time has been moved up to 6:05 p.m. Wednesday is Balloons, Baseball & Root Beer, when the Jacks join with the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce & CVB to celebrate this weekend's Great Texas Balloon Race. Balloon pilots will be on hand to mix, mingle, and sign autographs.

Following the game, join the pilots outside of Driller Park and even pick up a root beer float. At dusk, the pilots will perform a balloon glow to delight fans young and old. It's an event you don't want to miss!
