Jim Combs named Director of Officials

The Southern Professional Hockey League's Commissioner, Tom Coolen, today announced that Jim Combs has been selected as the new League's Director of Officials.
Mr. Combs brings several years of officiating background to this key position. He has officiating experience at the NHL, AHL, ECHL, collegiate and junior levels. He previously served as the Director of Officials for the now defunct Atlantic Coast Hockey League.
Coolen added, "Mr. Combs will bring organization, guidance and an insider's understanding of the game to this key area of our new League. We are extremely pleased to welcome him aboard."
