Greeneville Astros News Release

GREENEVILLE, TN - The Burlington Indians rallied late to make things interesting, but the Greeneville Astros were able to hold on for an 8-7 win. The Astros came out smoking in the 1st inning with 5 runs. DH Cole Graham drew a walk with the bases loaded to score the first run. Then, 2B Jhon Florentino cleared the bases with a 3-run double. Finally, C Ralphie Henriquez knocked him in with a base hit to give the Astros the 5-0 lead. Both Florentino and Henriquez continued to have good nights at the plate as Florentino later hit his third HR of the season and Henriquez hit a run-scoring triple (3). All that led to an Astros 8-3 lead going into the 9th inning, but that's when the Indians gave them a ballgame. They were able to bring home 4 runs to make the score 8-7 with 2 outs before P Sammy Gervacio was brought in to get the final out and save the game for the Astros, his 5th save of the season. Starter P Sergio Severino (2-3) was named the winning pitcher after going 5.0 innings and striking out 4.
