December 21, 2006 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release

Fargo (ND) Fans may soon get a glimpse of another former local high school hockey star skating for the Fargo-Moorhead Jets Junior A Hockey team. The team officially added former Moorhead High Spud forward Matt Becker to the roster this week. Becker was a member of the Spuds through the team's 2005 State Tournament run and was a high school teammate of current FM Jets' goaltender Beau Christian

Becker spent last season with the North American Hockey League's Billings Bulls scoring 18 points (7 goals) in 51 games. He was injured in an off-ice accident last spring, but has been skating with the FM Jets since October.

With the addition of Becker, the FM Jets have six players on their roster with local ties including Fargo natives Elliot Okland, Jon Halstenson, Marc Harrie and Grant Larson and Parker Metz along with Moorhead native Beau Christian.

The FM Jets (19-9-1, 39pts) lead the Central Division and are on the road at the Alexandria Blizzard on Friday night at 7:30pm. It's the team's last game until Dec. 29th.

The FM Jets Junior A Hockey Club is in its fourth season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 31st year of operation. For more information, visit fmjets.com or call (701) 235-2354.
