JetHawks Honor Red Sox World Series Championship During Upcoming Homestand

(LANCASTER, CA) - The Lancaster JetHawks, Class A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, will celebrate its parent club's 2007 world championship during the first two games of its seven-game homestand beginning Friday, April 25 at Clear Channel Stadium. The JetHawks will play four games against the Lake Elsinore Storm, a San Diego Padres farm club, before playing three games against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, an affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
The World Series celebration begins Friday with Friday Night Fireworks, a post-game fireworks spectacular, that will feature video clips of the 2007 World Series championship run by the Red Sox. Fans can also take advantage of the Friday Night Family Fun Pack, receiving a Reserved-Section ticket, a hot dog, soda, and fun zone credit for just $7 per person, with a minimum of four.
The first 1,000 fans in attendance at Saturday's game will receive a free World Series Championship logo baseball funded by a grant from the California Integrated Waste Management Board, 97.7 FM KTPI, and the AV Press.
Sunday afternoon will feature a special appearance by former Major League all-star pitcher Scott Erickson and actress/reporter Lisa Guerrero. The pair will meet with fans, sign autographs, take pictures, and discuss their upcoming feature film "A Plumm Summer" during pre-game activities.
On Feed-Your-Face Mondays, fans get a Reserve Section ticket plus all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn and peanuts for just $10. An annual tradition returns on Tumbleweed Tuesday's when Reserve Section tickets will be priced according to the wind speed the day before - just ten cents per MPH!
The newest weekday promotion is Weight Loss Wednesday, presented by The Whole Wheatery and Monster Fitness. The JetHawks will offer special health-conscious menu items and even let fans exercise by walking around the warning track on the field from 6:00 - 6:30 PM prior to the start of the game. Plus, a JetHawks front office member will be weighed before the game and Reserve Section tickets will cost just one cent per pound that the person weighs!
Thursday is the traditional Cheers Buck Beers Thursdays, presented by Coach's Sports Bar & Grill. Domestic draught beers will be on sale for just $1 each through the sixth inning.
