Jess Fishlock Voted NWSL Player of the Month

CHICAGO - Reign FC Midfielder Jess Fishlock has been voted NWSL Player of the Month for June for the 2019 season by the NWSL Media Association.
During Week 9, she was selected Player of the Week for scoring the equalizing goal to tie the game against Washington Spirit 1-1, and took home player of the match honors for her aggressive play. In Week 10, Fishlock scored the game-winning goal against the Chicago Red Stars for her second goal of the year. Fishlock's Week 11 goal and assist led to a big win against Utah Royals FC to bring the team to 3rd place in the league. Overall for the month of June, Fishlock finished with three goals and one assist. In her five games played this season, she has also made over 100 successful passes from five games of play.
Other considerations for Player of the Month include Portland Thorns forward Midge Purce, who took 2nd Place, and in 3rd Place was Washington Spirit Goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe.
