July, 2008 -The Jersey Express Open Try-out is scheduled for Saturday, July 19th between 1-4pm, and is hosted by the Morristown Neighborhood House, located at 12 Flagler Street in Morristown, NJ.
The try-out will be conducted by NBA veteran Jerry "Ice" Reynolds, Jersey Express Interim coach Quaasim Austin, and just added Strength and Conditioning coach Akima Stocks. Stocks, who is currently ranked #8 by the WIBF Boxing Federation, is a welterweight champion who'll bring her extensive strength and conditioning techniques to the try-out.
"This will be our most dynamic try-out to date, with the experience of the coaches leading the try-out, and the expertise of Akima leading the conditioning phase of the try-out we're very excited about inviting the best of the participants to veterans camp. We only ask that those individuals trying out for the Jersey Express are attending the try-out in pro shape, because they will be tested; stated Marsha Blount, President.
On-line registration: $75 - On-site registration: $100 cash only. There is still room to either register on-line or at the door, beginning at 12:30pm.
