Jersey Express News Release
Madison, NJ - On Sunday, December 9th @ 4pm, the Jersey Express will have a very special half-time performance, when the Strong Island Sound visit the Jersey Express for an afternoon contest. The Seeing Eye of Morristown will visit the Jersey Express, and provide a half-time show like you may not expect to see at a Professional Sporting Event.
The Seeing Eye, who's mission is "to enhance the independence, dignity and self-confidence of blind people through the use of Seeing Eye Dogs", will present a showcase of what it takes to be a Seeing Eye Dog. Their motto is "One Dog at a Time". The Seeing Eye,® Inc., is the oldest existing dog guide school in the world. Twelve times a year, as many as 24 students at a time visit the Morristown, N.J., campus to discover the exhilarating experience of traveling with a Seeing Eye dog.
"This will be another opportunity for us to help provide information to our fan base, on what we're all about. One of our goals from day one, has been to be able to use basketball as a vehicle. We know that we're not re-inventing this great game of basketball, but we can provide a complete experience when you attend a Jersey Express Game. We'd like to be able to provide a platform for each and every non-profit organization in New Jersey, to help in the causes that are sometimes taken for granted. Come out and support the Jersey Express on Sunday, and in-turn you may be able to change a life." stated team President, Marsha Blount.
