Jersey Express & Morristown Neighborhood House makes it "Official"

May 22, 2008 - The Jersey Express Professional Basketball Team is proud to announce that the Morristown Neighborhood House, located at 12 Flagler Street, Morristown, NJ is the "Official" try-out facility for the Jersey Express. The official try-out date is Saturday, July 19th @ 1pm.

The try-out will be a highly contested one, with both local, and out of state participants registering. This season will mark the 4th season for the Express, and the time is now to be apart of this break-out season. Making the playoffs last season was just the beginning. If you think you have game, were looking for your opportunity to showcase your talent or you've always wanted a shot at the pros, this is the time, and the Morristown Neighborhood House is the place.

Founded in 1898, the Morristown Neighborhood House Association is a private multi-faceted non-profit agency that provides childcare and other services for children and their families in the Morristown, Morris County, New Jersey area. The Mission of the Neighborhood House is to provide families and youth with a community-based support system which will strengthen their ability to cope in today's rapidly changing and complex society by providing a broad range of community services relevant to persons of all ages and from every socio-economic, ethnic and religious background

The Neighborhood House offers recreational, education, cultural and social service programs to the community with special emphasis on pre-school, school age children and parents. Each day more than 500 children attend House Programs together with parents, volunteers, community organizations and local residents using the facility.

"The House With A Heart" will always welcome those who walk through its doors. "The motto for the Neighborhood House is similar to that of the Express, in that we will always offer players a chance; stated Co-owner Marsha Blount. The pre-registration fee is $75.00, and can be made via money order or credit card. Space will be limited, so register early. Walk-ups will be charged a fee of $100 cash only, doors open at 12:30pm.
