
Jen Hoy Re-Signs with Sky Blue FC

Howell, N.J. - Sky Blue FC have re-signed forward Jen Hoy to a new contract ahead of the 2019 National Women's Soccer League season. Per team and league policies, terms of the contract were not announced.
"Jen is the type of player that contributes both on and off the field," Head Coach Denise Reddy said. "In addition to her talent on the ball, her leadership and experience in the league is a huge asset to this team and we are excited to have her return for another year at Sky Blue."
Hoy, 28, appeared in 10 matches during her first season with Sky Blue.
Sky Blue acquired Hoy on January, 1, 2018 as part of a trade with the Chicago Red Stars.
In her five seasons with Chicago she made 51 starts and 72 appearances, and recorded 15 goals and 10 assists. Hoy was selected by the Red Stars as the No. 25 overall pick in the 2013 NWSL College Draft prior to the inaugural season.
Following the 2016 NWSL season, Hoy traveled to Australia to play for the Newcastle Jets in the W-League. During her stay with the Jets she scored five goals in 12 appearances.
Hoy is a graduate of Princeton University where she played on the soccer team for four years, during which she scored 36 goals and recorded 11 assists in 69 appearances. In addition, Hoy was named the 2012 Ivy League Player of the Year.
Additionally, Hoy has international experience at the U-23 level with the U.S. WNT.
