
Jeff Zywicki Earns Third Rookie of the Week Award

SAN JOSE - San Jose Stealth forward Jeff Zywicki was chosen as the National Lacrosse League's Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week, and third time this season. The NLL Rookie of the Week Award is determined by a vote of the general managers and head coaches of the league's 11 member clubs
Zywicki followed up his award last week with a three goal and two assist game against the Calgary Roughnecks on March 18. He also recorded 12 loose balls in the victory over Calgary. Zywicki was a first-round draft pick (eighth overall) by the Stealth in last year's NLL Entry Draft.
Stealth General Manager Johnny Mouradian is proud of the accomplishments by Zywicki this season.
"There are some rookies that reach their potential in their first season and some that do not," Mouradian said. "Jeff, happens to be one of those players that has. His play has been a contributing factor to us being in the playoff race."
Zywicki and the rest of the first place Stealth will be in action this Saturday as they visit the Portland Lumberjax. The game can be viewed live locally on Fox Sports Net Bay Area at 7:30 p.m. The Stealth return to San Jose on March 31 when they take on the Buffalo Bandits at the HP Pavilion and host Ladies Night presented by 97.3 Radio Alice.
