
Jaxx to host another "Faith Night"

(Jackson, TN) June 13th - Your first half division champion West Tenn Diamond Jaxx are hosting another Faith Night on Friday, July 15th, featuring a pre-game Christian concert by Third Coast artist Ginny Owens. The concert is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM and will conclude at 6:40 PM, before the game starts. Game time is set at 7:05 PM. The Diamond Jaxx open up this home stand on Friday, July 15th with a three game series against the Mississippi Braves.
2,000 Veggie Tales "Bob the Tomato" Baseballs will be given away to fans when the gates open at 6:00 PM. Big Idea's Veggie Tales have teamed up with Third Coast Sports to sponsor the "Faith Night" series at eleven minor league ballparks this summer. "What I have always enjoyed about baseball is how it pulls the family unit together," says Bob Starnes, Big Idea VP, Publishing and Consumer Products. "At Big Idea, we believe that having Veggie Tales as a part of Faith Nights at minor league parks around the country is a good thing. We have seen smiles on the faces of kids from 1 to 100."
The final Faith Night includes a pre-game Christian concert with Third Coast artist Shaun Groves on Friday, August 19. Big Idea's Veggie Tales characters Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber will also be greeting fans during the final faith night on Friday, August 19 at Pringles Park. The final Faith Night giveaway will be 2,000 Veggie Tales books entitled "Frog Wars." Tickets are available for the concert on Friday, July 15 at the LifeWay Christian Book Store in Jackson, TN, by calling Third Coast Sports at 1-615-297-2021 (ask for Chad Cannon) or at the Diamond Jaxx Box office (988-JAXX).
