JAMESTOWN, NY --- It's time for Jammers baseball. The Jamestown Jammers kick off their season Monday, June 18th at Russell Diethrick Jr. Park at 7:05pm. There will be a postgame fireworks show sponsored by Superior Bat Company.
Joining the Jammers this season are some of the top picks from the Marlins out of the SEC with SS Austin Nola and SS Anthony Gomez, and college arms Drew Steckenrider RHP from Tennesee, Ryan Newell RHP from Shorter College, GA, and Nick Witgren RHP from Purdue; Also on the Jammers are some returning players from last season's team, Pedro Mendoza, Helpi Reyes, Viosergy Rosa, and Kentrell Dewitt.
The Jammers host the Mahoning Valley Scrappers the Single-A Short Season Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. Joining the Scrappers is first-round draft pick Tyler Naquin OF from Texas A & M.
