
Jamestown Vikings New Goaltender Already Paying Dividends

(Jamestown, NY) Over the weekend, the Jamestown Vikings of the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League acquired goaltender Chris Cuppett from the Valley Forge Freedom in a trade for future considerations. Cuppett had recently returned to the MAHL following a two week stint in the ECHL with both the Dayton Bombers and the Johnstown Chiefs.
On Sunday afternoon in Wooster, Ohio, Cuppett was in a Vikings uniform for the first time and stopped 28 of the 32 shots he faced as the Vikings defeated the Wooster Warriors 6-4 ending a two game losing streak. The 6'-0", 190 lbs goaltender is from Johnstown, PA. Chris, 27, played last season for Johnstown, Cincinnati, and Trenton in the ECHL. He played college hockey at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA.
