Jamestown Jammers Announce Hot Stove Dinner and Charity Auction

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. - The Jamestown Jammers' 8th Annual Hot Stove Dinner & Charity Auction will take place on Monday, January 16, 2012. This year, all event proceeds will benefit the Italian-American Charity Golf Association which is committed to enhancing local cancer care at WCA Hospital.

"Over the last six years, the Jammers have raised more than $21,000 for local charities," says General Manager Matt Drayer. "We look forward to this annual event and hope to see the community join with us this year to support the local fight against cancer."

Steve Cishek, former Jammer and current Miami Marlin pitcher, will be the featured guest speaker. Cishek pitched for the Jammers in 2007. He was electric that summer pitching in 25 games and posting a 1.95 ERA. 2011 was his first full season in the Major Leagues and he was very impressive with the Marlins. He appeared in 45 games, pitching 54.2 innings and posting a 2.63 ERA.

This event will be held at the beautiful Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. Tickets for the event will be $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for children. Tables of six or eight are available for groups.

The event will feature a Chinese, Silent and a Live Auction where auctioneer Mike Peterson will once again bring his excitement to the event. There will be a wide variety of items donated by local businesses and sports team from across the nation to bid on. Special thanks go out to all the past contributors that have helped make this yearly event such a success.
